Happy Easter and April Fools! I just finished playing the morning service at Calvary Episcopal Church in downtown Santa Cruz with the Articulate Brass (UCSC’s own brass quintet), and thought it’d be a good time to go over some past and future shows.
– Amy Unauthorized: Our Amy Winehouse tribute band just had a killer set at Swig in San Francisco, just off of Union Square! If you missed us don’t worry, we’ll be around later this month – updates soon.
– Beat Tape: If you caught us at The Crepe Place on 3/2, you would’ve seen us in our new swag! Beat Tape got shirts and they’re looking FRESH. We’re due back at The Crepe Place on 5/24, so if you swing by you can grab one of these beauties for yourself.
– Palo Alto Philharmonic: We are performing Bruckner’s IVth symphony next Friday (4/7) and I could not be more excited. This piece requires a powerhouse brass section, and we’ve been working hard (with some special coaching from Mike Pakaluk!).

Finally, there may be one or two undercover Beat Tape, Frequency Collective, and even Wabi Sabi (!!!) shows coming up – keep checking back to stay in the loop!
